"This is the tale of the Vault Dwellers, the wanderers from the tomb within the cavern..."

- Opening Narration

Fallout: The Animated Series is a animated action-adventure drama television series concept by Red-Verse-Writer, based on the popular post-apocalyptic tactical first-person-shooter RPG video game series Fallout with some elements of its spin-offs Fallout Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. The series is set one hundred years after a thermonuclear war destroyed the majority of human society, and revolves around three inhabitants of a vault, one of several massive underground fallout shelters built to allow for generations to live and die within safety. When the water-providing system of their Vault, Vault 13, fails, the three are assigned to save their home by finding a new source of water, forcing them to venture out into the wasteland to find it.

Synopsis[]

Season 1[]

100 years after a thermonuclear Third World War destroyed the majority of human society, hundreds of massive underground fallout shelters known as "Vaults" house the majority of the unmutated human population. When the water chip from one such Vault, Vault 13, unexpectedly breaks down, Overseer Jacoren, the leader of Vault 13, sends out three volunteers into the wasteland above to find a replacement - Albert Cole, a lawyer and political activist with an interest in opening Vault 13's massive door out into the wilderness; Natalia Dubrovhsky, a descendant of a Russian diplomat amongst the original populace of Vault 13 and a notorious thief amongst Vault 13; and Max Stone, a kind-hearted but mentally disabled man with vast strength. Armed with meager equipment and their Vault-issued Pipboy 2000 wristwatch-like supercomputers, the trio set out to find a new water chip.

Overcoming encounters with mutated feral animals, battles against a clan of raiders and murderers known as the Khans, and their own personal issues, the trio arrive at a new civilisation in the wasteland, Shady Sands, a peaceful town ran by Aradesh, who hires them to defend the town against the Khans and mutated scorpions who dwell north. Following the trio's rescue of Aradesh's daughter Tandi from the Khans, he tells them of the origins of Shady Sands, the town being populated by the former inhabitants of the nearby Vault 15. Albert, Natalia and Max travel to Vault 15 in the hopes of finding the water chip, only to find it in ruins and populated by the Khans, who are intent on finding Vault 13 and taking it over. The trio, with the assistance of Shady Sands drifter Ian, kill the majority of the raider clan, including their leader Garl Death-Hand, who was personally responsible for Tandi's kidnapping, and send the survivors into hiding, freeing the Khans' slaves. However, they find that the vault has no water chip, and return to Shady Sands, where Aradesh agrees to help bring water to Vault 13 in the hopes of increasing the amount of time the trio have to complete their quest as they continue to head east, now accompanied by Ian.

Season 2[]

Continuing their journey, Albert, Natalia, Max and Ian arrive at Junktown, a town that, as its name implies, is entirely made of recycled materials from before the war. They meet the town's mayor, Killian Darkwater, who they assist in exposing and arresting the crime boss Gizmo, and Dogmeat, a hyper-intelligent mutant dog who agrees to accompany them. After a violent encounter with a cannibalistic serial killer known as Doc Morbid, they continue to search
